8. when you ready with your design, click the last 3dmax tab (hamer) (Red) and click “MaxScript” button (Green).

From the selection field (Red) choose “Second Life Export 2″. This is the export script, this will export all prim information to a text file. Like size, position and rotation but also other prim settings like tapper, hole size, path cut etc. what ever has been used on a prim.

9. Now select object you want to export and click “Export selected” to export part of your design and choose a path to save a .TXT file (Green). Choose a logical name for you design. The total amount of prims are beeing counted (Red)

IMPORTANT: Write down on paper the total amound of prims, do this with each section of your design when you export. When in-world, its easy to link your desgn by checking your list, to see if you have linked ALL prims in a specific section…
After save you can open this text file, it coul look something like this…

10. Now save your 3dmax design and close 3dmax. Log in to Second life and go to a sandbox or a private sky platform (where ever you want to build). Now rezz (drag) the 3d max importer from your inventory on to the ground. (in package you bought at SL EXchange )
11. Now create a new notecard in your inventory and copy and paste all text from the export text file (you have created with 3dmax) in to the notecard and save this notecard.

12. now close notecard and drag this notecard from your inventory on to the importer, the importer should have a white glow. Now let go you mouse button and the importer should start building your design…..
when ready, your design could look something like this….

now you can assign textures to every prim (select prim and edit)
